Blind Eye Hostel & Guest House
When we decided to open a hostel in Prague, we didn’t want to provide just another typical place to sleep in the famous Czech capital, but rather an authentic and unique experience for our guests. That's why we chose to open our place in the legendary alternative district of ZIZKOV. Our area is well known for the best and most diverse nightlife among locals, ex-pats and travellers alike - in fact this captivating area regularly attracts people to settle here for longer, or even set-up camp permanently :)
We are not in the crowed touristy center, but we are the centre of the real alternative prague experience. The famous sights of Prague’s Old Town are only a few minutes away via public transport ... or simply a pleasant walk!
If you just want a quiet budget place to sleep, we make sure you're getting rest and leave you in peace, with quiet rules in the hostel after 10PM. In case you are up to doing things with other travellers and locals, we take care of that as well. There is always someone who wants to show you their favourite city-spots, teach you basic words in the local language, or simply provide some food for you….. We’ve got it all covered!
Join us in our comfy chillout area in reception if you want to put your feet up after a long day of travelling or exploring, complete a book exchange, movies, a PS3 and couches. Just get yourself a few drinks from the fridge and mingle with the other travellers!
We've got a great new smoking room for those who want to retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy Prague's greener things.
Our courtyard is a great place to hang-out with other guests and enjoy our BBQs and happy hour every Friday (whilst the weather still permits!).
Looking for somewhere to quench your thirst in the evening before you hit the town? Then why not check out our basement bar? Just to warn you, it has been known to get pretty rowdy down there!
We have a great team who are here to help you make the most of your stay in the Golden City. They’ll be happy to take you out to one of the many parks, drink a beer (or ‘pivo’) with you, show you around Prague, and lead you in the daily activities we run. We also have free city maps, tons of travel information and local insights into nightlife and food, public transport, events and much, much more! No need to mention that we are here 24/7 - even before your arrival you can contact the reception via skype or email - in case there is anything else you need to know.
We like cleanliness and we assume that you do, too. We've even gone so far as to dedicate an entire floor of our facility to those who think that boys stink. Our ladies-only floor is open for business with plenty of clean, hot showers and 100% less testosterone.
Our amenities include fully equipped kitchens on each floor and facilities for staying safe, clean and healthy :)
Safety can be a concern for some folks when travelling - we assure you Prague is one of the safest places you can imagine.
Our philosophy is simple: Take it easy, have a good time, and be polite about it. We are a family and everyone who works, sleeps or visits here is part of it. This means also and especially YOU.
