Domus is located in the heart of Reykjavik, only a few steps away from the busy Laugavegur shopping street, the city center pond and gardens, and Icelands finest restaurants, museums, cafés and bars. Further more the Icelandic opera, the national theatre and the culture house as well as many galleries, museums are within a few minutes walking distance. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You will find a warm reception at Domus and moderate prices, we take pride in our personal service and friendly environment making sure that you will feel right at home during your stay with us. Domus offers sleeping bag accommodation in rooms for 6-12 persons sharing each room. Bathroom facilities are shared, and our guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our check in time is from 14:00-03:00, please note that most flight from the USA arrive in Iceland between 06:00 and 08:00 in the morning. Domus ia located in the Reykjavik city center, museums, shops, bars, restaurants and cafes are all in just a 5 minute walking distance. The old part of Reykjavik city and the harbor are at the end of our street Hverfisgata. Buses stop next to Domus to take you round the city, if you rent a car we offer free parking spaces behind the guesthouse. When you have booked a tour the tour bus will pick you up at our doorstep. Domus Guesthouse is in the heart of Reykjavik at Hverfisgata 45, right in the city center. We are in a 5 minutes walking distance from the down town area and the old part of Reykjavik.
The main shopping street is just one street up from us, where you can find a large variety of nice restaurants, bars, clubs, and shops.
Reykjavik art museums and galleries are in a 5 minute walking distance from us as well as the national theatre and the Icelandic opera.
Just down the street from us is the harbor with the fantastic view of the Esja mountain and the Sn�fellsglacier.

Located next to Reykjavik�s main shopping street, Laugavegur, the guesthouse offers an ideal location for exploring the historic centre; shops, restaurants, caf�s, bars, nightlife and main attractions can all be found within easy walking distance. Within 500 m from the guesthouse the following attractions can be found: - The old harbour where you can go on a whale watching trip (April-October). - The flea market, Kolaporti�, open Saturdays and Sundays. - Hallgr�mskirkja church, one of Reykjav�k�s most famous landmarks. You can climb up to the church tower and enjoy a spectacular view of the city. - The Culture House, which houses Iceland�s Medieval Manuscripts, amongst other artefacts. Within 3 km of the hotel the following attractions can be found: - The National Museum. - The Pearl - one of Reykjav�k�s landmark, where you can get a great view over the city, visit the Saga Museum and dine at the revolving restaurant at the top. - Kringlan shopping centre, with over 60 shops.
