The most common and economical way of getting to Grettir from Keflavik
international airport is to use the Flybus shuttle service. They depart
from right outside the terminal at Keflavik Airport and will take you to
Reykjavik in only 40 minutes. The Flybus is connected to all arriving and
departing flights at Keflavik airport so there should be one waiting for
you as you exit the international zone. Tickets for the Flybus are to be
bought at their ticket booth, just by the right side exit, and cost 1950ISK.
The Flybus makes a final stop at BSI Bus Terminal in the center of
Reykjavik and on foot Grettir is only some 20 minutes away. It is a short
walk but as we assume you will be carrying luggage you can bridge that
distance by taking one of the taxis that await outside the Bus Terminal.
The drop-off locations for both shuttles is 'Reykjavik Backpackers', the property next door.
We are located right on Reykjavík's most famous and legendary Laugavegur, you should not have any trouble finding your way back home should you get lost strolling around town. All the services and attractions that a traveler could need or want are located within walking distance. Reykjavik's famous nightlife is also centered on this area and all the best pubs, clubs, bars, theaters and restaurants are only a few steps away.
