Located three blocks from the famous Copacabana Beach, one block from the metro and next to a beautiful natural park, we're waiting to welcome you to Rio! Our large colonial house is fully renovated with new clean spacious dorms and bathrooms with hot showers and excellent social areas (indoor and outdoor), in a street with 24hrs security. We offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere with free Brazilian breakfast, free high-speed internet and Wi-Fi, free bed linen, free maps and tourist info, free drinkable water, ceiling fans, big individual lockers and free luggage storage. There's no curfew so you can enjoy the best of Rio at any time of day or night! We have double bunk beds (no triples!), women-only dorms, two fully-equipped kitchens, a cool bar with music and a pool table, a lounge with a 42" LCD TV and DVDs, an open-air backyard with BBQ, free book exchange, towels, hairdryers, and ironing facilities. Nearby you can find all sorts of restaurants, bars, clubs, supermarkets, banks, laundry services, shops and easy transport to all parts of the city. We are next to a 36km² park with wildlife, eco-hiking and even a football court available. Our friendly and helpful staff speak great English and are happy to help you book flights or exchange money. CabanaCopa Hostel is very easy to find - it's only one block from the Arcoverde metro station. A big colonial house located in the heart of Copacabana beach, the most famous neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro.
By Taxi to Arcoverde metro station:
From the Airport:
Depending on the time, a yellow taxi should cost between 30-40 Reais. A special taxi (white, blue or red) should cost between 80-100 Reais. Simply show or tell the driver to go to the Arcoverde metro station, together with our street address they will know where to go. We also can arrange an airport transfer service if you prefer!
From the Bus Terminal:
Take a special taxi from just outside the bus terminal. You pay a fixed fee at the counter. It will cost about 20 Reais to get to Copacabana. Simply show or tell the driver to go to the Arcoverde metro station, together with our street address they will know where to go.
By Bus to Arcoverde metro station:
From the airport:
The cheaper option is the 'Real' bus. Walk out of the arrivals lounge, take a right past the waiting taxis and look out for the airport bus stop. It costs around 6 Reais and the driver speaks English. It goes along the main beach road of Copacabana - 'Avenida Atlantica'. Ask to stop at the Copacabana Palace Hotel. Then you walk down the street 'Rodolfo Dantas' up to the Cardeal Arco Verde metro station.
From the Bus Terminal:
Take the 'Real' Bus from in front of the bus terminal. It costs 4 Reais and the driver speaks English. Walk past the taxi rank just outside the station and wait for the bus at the side of the road opposite. They run every 15 minutes and will stop on the main beach road (Avenida Atlantica). Ask to stop at the Copacabana Palace Hotel. Then you walk down the street 'Rodolfo Dantas' up to the Cardeal Arco Verde metro station.
From Arcoverde metro station to CabanaCopa Hostel:
Go behind the station and turn right next to the gas station - you will see the street 'Rua Guimaraes Natal'. Walk until you see the Chacrinha Park. We are at house number 12 up the park street. A big green and yellow house with a bamboo fence. It's easy to see!
