this has been the best hostel i have stayed at in california over the past 3weeks. it is not flashy but has has loads of character, is fun and is in a prime location.

Good location if you want to be near the beach. Downtown not too far away... only 20 mins on the bus. Staff very friendly snd helpful! Big lockers in room. Would recommend staying here!

I would suggest that in the reservation process you add questions about being from outside the U.S. or a faculty to limit confusion or difficulties when shoing up at the door.

Dorm rooms were OK, though a little cramped and a tad stuffy. Bathrooms could use a fixture upgrade and some cleaning, but generally OK.
