Nice, friendly staff. 3 blocks away from BART (the metro). No kitchen though and EXTREMELY loud music every weekend.

The bars on the main and top floor i found to be expensive. The view from the roof is specatular. The surrounding neighborhood is a little scary both at night and durring the day. I also found that getting to and from the hostel could be difficult and took cabs most of the time.

They say, you can check in 24 h, but if you arrive in the morning, after a night bus, they won't let you check in, you have to wait til 3pm. And if you ask, you are allowed to sit somewhere, but you have to ask first. The breakfast is not much. It is one pastery and a cofe or tea. For more you have to pay. A nice common room and kitchen are missing. (well, for partys are 2 floors, but nothing for a quite evening) If you like to extend you have to extend, you have to book it online.
