Just one block from the beach, Amtrak train & Greyhound bus stations and State Street for nightlife,
We have private rooms and dorm rooms, both co-ed and female only.
There are activities to suit everyone\'s taste located nearby including:
- Hiking
- Shopping
- Surfing
- Whale Watching
- Biking
- Sun bathing on our glorious beaches
The hostel offers private rooms and dorms for the international backpacker.
Other amenities include laundry, vending machines, internet kiosks, wireless internet access and activities information for your visit to Santa Barbara. There are also bike and rollerblade rentals, maps, guides and tour suggestions.
The hostel is located directly opposite the train station and within walking distance from the bus station, with plenty of car and bike parking.
We welcome all guests looking for clean, secure accommodation in a fun atmosphere. Come and see the American Riviera for yourself!.
Dorm rooms are intended for international travelers with a valid non-US passport and a plane ticket leaving the USA. For American citizens a current student ID and another form of official ID is required. There are no requirements to stay in our private rooms.
OUR PRICES INCLUDE ALL TAXES !
If hostel privat e rooms are full you will be accomodated in our other property> haley cottages.
Opening times:
8:15 am till 11:15pm. During the day the lobby is closed between 12:30pm and 2:45pm (rest of hostel remains accessible)
Our check in time for private rooms is after 3pm, for dorm beds after 12 noon.
Please note that there is a $20 key deposit for each key which is returned upon checkout. The key deposit must be paid in cash. Sorry, but the key deposit cannot be put on your credit card.
If cancellations/ changes are made up to 72 hours before your check-in date, you will not be charged.
Late cancellations or bookings that don\'t show will be charged a one night no-show/ late cxl/ late change fee.

I stayed here for one night. This place was very nice. Mainly young people and the whole vibe was very laid back. The staff were friendly enough and the location so close to the beach area and a 15 minute walk from state street proper was excellent. However! The nearby amtrak station made alot of noise when the train came in. The place serves a free breakfast. The wifi ran smoothly and it was easy getting advice about stuff to do in town. The price were on the expensive side for hostels, Troels, from Denmark ~ 28th Aug 2011
