Hostel Ville is located inside the former Pakistani and Croatian embassy residence, just 900 meters (about half a mile) from the center of the Old town of Sarajevo and the famous tourist destination Bascarsija. The residence was refurbished in order to accommodate young travelers who seek alternative vacation spots which differ from traditional hotels and bed-and-breakfasts, the people who want to keep their distance from typical noisy overcrowded commercialized mass-tourism lodgings.

We offer 8-bed dorms and 6-bed dorms. The dorms are neat, clean and they are being tidied up at least once a day. They have air-conditioning units, heating units and lockers with keys. Each dorm has its own separate bathroom with shower.

Each guest gets a bed with all sheets and covers, a towel and, on request, a locker with a key. Wireless broadband internet is free and can be received in every room.

From the central train/bus station - Take the tram no. 01 right in front of the station and drive to the main tram station 'Bascarsija' in the old city. (Ticket price is less than 1 Euro). There is a small mini-bus station just 20 meters north of the tram station where you exit. Here you can take the mini-bus no. 58 headed for 'Mihrivode' (arrives every 30 minutes) and exit on the second bus stop. Hostel Ville is just across the street from where you exit the mini-bus.

You can also take the Taxi service from airport (7 to 10 Euro depending on the time of the day) or from the central train/bus station (3 to 4.5 Euro depending on the time of the day).

If you have already arrived at the Bascarsija by some other means, you just need to go to the Sebilj monument or the main tram-station 'Bascarsija' (it's the same place). 50 meters north is the place where 'Safvet-bega Basagica' streets starts. You just follow the street north uphill for 900 meters (two minutes drive) until you arrive at building no. 93 on the left side of the street labeled 'Hostel Ville'.

Located Near

Located just 900 meters (about half a mile) or two-minute-drive from the core of the Old city of Sarajevo, you are close enough to most famous spots in the city, but at the same time, you're far enough from them to take a break from city crowds and urban chaos. Hostel Ville lies in the middle of the old residential district 'Medrese' where you can enjoy silence and peace all day long.
