Guest house Markale offers inexpensive but pleasant and tidy accommodation at the very centre of Sarajevo, closely surrounded by the most interesting sites in the city.
The guest house is set in an old Austro-Hungarian type of building, but fully refurbished in spring 2012. Thick walls and high ceiling provide quite and cosy environment inside. All rooms are private and you will not share your room with other guests. Rooms with private bathroom (hotel-like rooms) can accommodate from one person to up to four people. Rooms with shared bathroom can be used by large groups of up to eight people, but they are also available for individuals, couples, families or smaller groups. In case of shared bathroom, there is one bathroom per two rooms. All bathrooms provide hot water and shower. The shared kitchen can be used by all customers for self-catering, but on request our friendly host can prepare a continental breakfast. Fairly large dining area offers enough room to eat or to sit and watch cable TV. Free Wi-Fi broadband internet is available in all rooms. We provide you with free sheets, blankets, and towels. Laundry and ironing facility access available. Nearby parking available at request, additional fee of 6 EUR per day applicable. If you are coming by car or taxi, just keep going to the centre and ask for the market hall Markale, we are just opposite to it. If you are coming by tramway from the bus station or railway station, take tram no. 1, and exit at Katedrala (the Cathedral) stop. From any other part of the city, take tram no. 3. Once you exit at this stop, just keep walking another 50 meters down the same street, towards the market hall. If you are still not sure how to reach us, give us a ring, we will pick you up for free, if you are not too far away.

We are just 15 meters away from the High street (main pedestrian zone in Sarajevo). 20 meters from us there is a closed market market hall, the most famous market in Sarajevo. The Cathedral is just 50 meters away and Sarajevos old bazaar, historical and cultural centre of Sarajevo, is 200 meters away. The most popular Sarajevos coffee bars, pubs, restaurants with local and international cuisine and night clubs are situated in radius of 300 meters.
