The Ploaghesi organize different village festival and this is an occasion to discover the true life of Sardinian people. During the day you can organize escursion in the centre of the island to visit ruins or the romanico pisan churches or you can reach the near beaches of Alghero, Stintino, Platamona, Badesi, Valledoria, Castelsardo. |

Ploaghe is on the main road between Sassari (18 km) and Olbia where the streets cross the motorway to Cagliari.
Alghero airport is at 40 Km and Olbia airport at 80km. The Portotorres harbour is only 40 km and Olbia harbour is at 80 km. Golfo Aranci harbour is 100km.
It is possible to reach the village even with the train. Stop at the station of Ploaghe, 1 km from the village centre.
Daily buses connect Ploaghe with Sassari and Alghero.

Ploaghe is in the north Ovest Sardinia. The nearest airport is Alghero at 39 km and the nearest port is Porto Torres at 35 km. The other port in the opposite site of the isle is Golfo Aranci 100 km and Olbia at 80 km as the airporth of Olbia Costa Smeralda. Ploaghe is interessant since being central and near a crossroad that connect Olbia with Sassari and Cagliari allow you to reach the main village and beaches very easily and at the same time to stay in a real sardinia village.
