Owned and managed by the Mawson family, Bailey Ground Lodge has been lovingly renewed and restored to create spacious, luxury accommodation with excellent guest facilities. From the warm and inviting décor to the comfortable furnishings every effort has been made to ensure guests every need catered for. Just a short walk down road is the Bailey Ground Hotel, sister property to the lodge, here guests can dine in locally renowned restaurant, enjoy a quick coffee in the coffee shop or even sample delicious, homemade ice cream. The Mawson family also own the nearby Bailey Ground Farm, which traditionally produces dairy products for the area, so you can be certain that only the freshest, highest quality produce is used coffee shop and Restaurant.

Cancellation policy: No cancellation charge if a booking is cancelled before 12.00 noon 48h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

From the North: Head south-east on the M6, at junction 43 take the A69 exit to Carlisle/Hexham/Newcastle. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Warwick Road/A69 heading to Carlisle. Turn right at Victoria Place/A69 hen right at Georgian Way/A7. At Hardwicke Circus Roundabout take the 1st exit onto Castle Way/A595, continuing on this road (pass over 3 roundabouts). At the fourth roundabout take the 2nd exit onto A66 and at the next roundabout take the third exit onto A5086, follow this road for some time then turn left towards Kirkland Road, continue onto Kirkland Road, then take two rights near The Fox and Hounds Inn, take your first left, then take a right and a left then follow round to the right towards A595. At the junction turn left then take the first right at B5344. Continue onto the B5344 into Seascale and turn right just before the train station following signs for ‘The Banks’. The Bailey Ground Lodge will be located on left.
Seascale is a quaint coastal town in the Western Lake District; it is the perfect base for exploring this beautiful part of the Lake District. Stunning views and some of England’s finest scenery provide a backdrop to the wide choice of attractions and things to do in the Lake District. There are plenty of outdoor activities on offer from walking and cycling to rock climbing to abseiling. If you prefer an amble around the shops and art galleries there is plenty to keep you entertained.
