HI - Seattle at the American Hotel is on the edge of the city in the International District. A great value a half block from the city's transportation hub, you can easily get anywhere in Seattle. Start your day at Pike Place Market with coffee at the original Starbucks, go shopping, eat fresh seafood, stroll the waterfront and watch the sun set over the mountains. Then enjoy the vibrant night life of the Emerald City.

The American Hotel was completely renovated in 2009, retaining an old-world feel while adding modern amenities. We have two en suites and 89 rooms with one to six beds per room -- most with four beds -- and a large & modern kitchen, TV room, library, laundry & storage room, computers, and free Wi-Fi throughout the building. There is also a guest lounge on the second floor with comfortable couches and chairs to relax and meet other guests.

Our downtown Seattle location makes us the ideal place to stay for value-oriented travelers. We offer the ideal mix of location, convenience, value, and fun!
