Choose to stay at Pillows & Toast *************************************** Dear journal, I am glad I chose to stay at Pillows & Toast in Chinatown, Singapore. The hostel was in a convenient location, just a 3-minute walk away from Chinatown MRT. The hostel spans 3 and a half floors, and it's entrance on the ground floor made it easy to find. The staff were really friendly & cool. After a speedy check-in, they introduced the amenities of the hostel to me. My room was really safe & secure with electronic key card access & I had my own locker! There were ample shower rooms & toilets on every floor. They even provided the 3-in-1 shower gel. There were lots of hooks & racks for me to keep my clothes dry in the shower. Not to mention the nifty hair-dryer provided. Woo hoo! The shower rooms were clean & I really could go on showering forever, but... you know, I had to be considerate to others. I also loved hanging out in their cozy attic lounge with the rest, playing on the WII, and getting a leg massage on the massage chair. Imagine that! How many hostels actually have a huge attic lounge & a massage chair to boot! I simply had to upload some pictures of the hostel on Facebook & the free WIFI made it really easy to do so from the comfort of my bed. There were personal electrical sockets & reading lamps so that I won't disturb my room-mates. I loved snuggling in my bed under the cozy duvet, chatting with my friends on Facebook. And oh, the mattress was oh-so-so-comfy! The hostel also provides a tasty breakfast. I would recommend all my friends to try their kaya toast, which will leave you yearning for more. :) It was such a breeze getting around Singapore with the MRT close by. XOXO *** Hostel conditions: Please note that we only accept non-locals. Guests without a valid foreign passport will be rejected. We also do not accept guests below the age of 16 years of age. Please note that we provide personal lockers in every room. Please bring your own padlock (shackle must be at least 5 mm thick to be able to lock the door) for security reasons. Thank you! Late cancellations: Cancellations made within 48 hours of the cancelled date is considered late. The outstanding accommodation charges will be payable. Due to the different group sizes & lengths of stays of our guests, we seek your understanding that we might not be able to accommodate your group in the same room. We only accept cash payment at the hostel. Please exchange Singapore currency or withdraw some from the ATM at the MRT station before you arrive. 5. We serve mainly tourists & travellers to Singapore hence we reserve the right to reject service to any persons to preserve the backpackers' atmosphere of the hostel. 6. There is a $15 key card deposit for each key card issued to you. 7. Late cancellations: Cancellations made within 48 hours of the cancelled date is considered late. The outstanding accommodation charges will be payable. 8. Due to the different group sizes & lengths of stays of our guests, we seek your understanding that we might not be able to accommodate your group in the same room. We will, however, definitely honour the room type booking that you have made with us via Hostelworld. 9. We will keep your beds for up to 5 hours of your stated arrival time. If you have not checked in by 5 hours of your stated arrival time, we will cancel your booking & release the beds to other guests. This property has specific Terms & Conditions.1: Age limit for dorm beds is 16 years and above. Groups with children (aged 12 onwards) should book out 1 entire dorm.
2: Our reception hours at 0700 ~ 2300 h. If you are arriving after 11pm, please inform us so that we can send you the instructions to enter our hostel when you arrive.
3: We only accept cash payment at the hostel. Please withdraw cash at the airport before you arrive at our hostel.
4: We collect a S$20 security deposit per person. This is refundable upon an incident-free check-out.
5: Cancellations made within 48 hours of the cancelled date is considered late. The outstanding accommodation charges will be payable.

From Changi Airport
MRT: Take the MRT to Tanah Merah Station (EW4). Change to the train at Platform B (Line 2) to Outram Park Station (EW16). Take the North-East Line to Chinatown Station (NE4). From Chinatown station, take Exit A and walk to Mosque Street. (Cost = approximately SGD2.75 per adult including S$1.00 refundable card deposit. Time = approximately 1 hour)
Taxi: Inform the driver to take you to Number 40, Mosque Street (In Chinatown, off South Bridge Road) (Cost = apprximately SGD 20 to 30. Time = approximately 30 minutes)
Airport Shuttle Bus: Inform the Ground Transport Desk at Changi Airport that you would like go to No. 40 Mosque Street. (Cost = SGD9.00 per adult)
From Harbour Front Ferry Terminal:
Take the MRT to Chinatown Station (NE4). Take Exit A & walk to our hostel at No. 40 on Mosque Street. (Cost = SGD 1.96 including SGD1.00 refundable card deposit)
From Woodlands Train Checkpoint:
From the bus-stop number 46069 (Woodlands CIQ) along Woodlands Centre Road, take bus number 950. Alight at the 4th stop at Marsiling Station (NS 8 ). Take the train at Platform B to Dhoby Ghaut Station (NS 24). Then change to the North-East Line and take the train to Chinatown Station (NE4). From Chinatown station, take Exit A and walk to Mosque Street. We are at Unit No. 40.
