Seven years ago The Hive opened its doors to the world, and with support from all our guests over the years and the hard work and great service put in, we're still going strong, seven years on.
Those who have stayed and returned would vouch that we've been constantly upgrading ourselves so that we're in a better position to serve. Our commitment to great service has not changed since Day One and that will continue to be our main focus for the many years to come. In 2012, expect to see many more improvements. For those that loved our free breakfast (cereals and toast), free Internet usage (Wi-Fi included), all day free coffee and tea, no curfew and fantastic service, these are here to stay! What's more, we've added a Games Room to the hostel. Find Xbox Kinect, a dart machine, board games and much more fun stuff! Looking for a place that can host your family/group for that long awaited holiday? Never knew what it is like to bunk in with a people from all over the world? All you need is a clean, comfortable, cosy place to rest that is easy on the pockets so your only concern is where to go and what to eat? Well, The Hive might just be the place! |

This property has specific Terms & Conditions.ayments to be made in cash or credit card upon arrival. We do not accept Singaporeans and foreign workers. Official check-in time is after 1500hrs and check-out is before 1100hrs. If you arrive early, you might need to wait until your room is available. If your arrival is early in the morning (like 2am), it does get a little tricky. For example, if you have booked for 20 Sept (Sat) arriving 2am, we take it as you are arriving on the night of 20 Sept and NOT the night of 19 Sept (Fri), although technically it is 20 Sept past midnight of the 19th. Please contact us if you are in doubt. We will hold the room for no more than 3 hours from the time of arrival submitted during the booking. Please try to contact us should there be any problems getting to us on time.

From Changi Airport MRT Station:
To Boon Keng MRT Station (recommended):
Board the train at Changi Airport and head to Tanah Merah Interchange.
Alight at Tanah Merah and transit to the East-West (EW) line heading towards Boon Lay.
Alight at Outram Station (EW 16) and transfer to the North-East (NE) line going towards Punggol (NE17). Alight at Boon Keng Station (NE 9).
Take Exit C (Boon Keng Road). Look across the field and you will see a black building with yellow windows. That's us!
To Lavender MRT Station:
Board the train at Changi Airport and head to Tanah Merah Interchange.
Alight at Tanah Merah and transit to the East-West (EW) line heading towards Boon Lay.
Alight at Lavender Station (EW 11). Take Exit B and if you have enough coins, take bus no. 145 and alight at the 4th stop. You will stop right at our door-step.
The other alternative is to walk along Lavender St for about 20mins. You will bypass Hotel 81, then Singapore Casket, then Eminent Plaza and in about 150m you'll find us. We are at the end of Lavender St.
Taking a taxi:
Tell the taxi driver to go to 269 Lavender St. Exit Bendemeer Rd from PIE (Pan-Island Expressway). Turn right at the junction of Eminent Plaza.
Stop at the bus-stop.
From Lavender bus terminal:
Facing the Singapore Casket across the road of the bus terminal, turn right. Walk along Lavender Street.
The Hive Backpackers' Hostel is across the road on your left and it would be about 300 - 400m from the bus terminal
