Three friends have created their dream hostel - the one they wish they'd always stayed at!

Canapé Connection, our top-rated new generation hostel, offers a chilled-out atmosphere in a small charming house in the city centre. Our spacious canopy beds ensure a good night's rest, while the rich and healthy home-made breakfast gives you a great start in the mornings.

Our cute little hostel is hidden down a small, charming street, right at the corner of Shishman St - Sofia's 'street with the bars'. This area has its own unique style and most local places have a similar vibe - artistic, authentic, simple, a big underground and relaxed. There's tons of galleries, bars, jewellery and clothing boutiques and cafés with home-made cakes.

Three friends own and run the Canapé Connection - Nadia, Nadia and Ivo! The hostel itself has been designed with a sincere desire and great inspiration, so as to provide a real experience in Sofia for our guests.

The two Nadias and Ivo are travellers themselves and have a clear idea what a person on the road really wants - to explore new places and cultures, to taste local food, to relax and recharge your own batteries, to connect to locals and other travellers. With this in mind we created our dream hostel - the one we have always wished to stay at.

Canapé Connection is a partner of Jauntster - the network for quality hostels in Europe. With the Jauntster Discount Card you receive 10% off the 1st night stay in Canapé Connection hostel.

Get prepared to become part of the life of the street - open your senses, open the eye of your camera, relax and take to the road!

You can easily get here from the Airport, Central Bus and Railway Stations.

From the main Bus and railway station take the subway direction Lozenets (Лозенец) and get off at NDK station. Exit on Vitosha Blvd. Walk 4 blocks north on Vitosha Blvd until you get to William Gladstone Str. (Уилиям Гладстон). Turn left and after the second block you'll see the sign 12A and Canape Connection on the left hand side

If you use on-ground transportation:
Buy two tickets 1.00 BGN each (one for you and one for your backpack) from the driver or from a newspaper stand and when you get on the bus immediately punch the two tickets. If you don't punch them, they are not valid.

If you are group of 3 or 4 people, it is about the same price to take a taxi. Please mind that the price per km should be less than 1 BGN (around 0.60-0.70 BGN). This can be easily seen at the stickers on the car windows. We recommend checking that before you jump into the taxi because there are a lot of fake taxis around the airport and the stations that charge a lot more.

From the Airport:
Catch the Underground (Metro, Subway) and get off at 'Serdika'. Exit on 'Kniaz Boris Str.' which is when turn right after you get off the train. Take the left exit on Kniaz Boris and go straight to William Gladstone Str where you turn right and in 20 meters is number 12A and the hostel. You can also switch metro lines on Serdika station to NDK (direction Lozenec) for 1 stop.

The Metro station is on Terminal 2, so if you land on Terminal 1 you need to take either the Shuttle or the bus 84 to Terminal 2.

If you catch bus number 84 (from Terminal 1 and 2) get off at the last stop, named BSFS (БСФС). Then cross the cross road towards Starbucks and walk 3 blocks to Patriarh Evtimii Square (known as Popa) and catch a tram number 12 or 18 for 3 stops, get off at Macedonia Square stop (Площад Македония). Then if you are facing the Square turn left and walk 4 blocks on Hristo Botev Boulevard (бул. Христо Ботев) and then turn left at the 4th street. This is the William Gladstone Street (ул. Уилям Гладстон). Go 1 block further - you will see the number 12A on the right-hand side.

Mind that after the opening of the new Metro line to the Airport the taxi drivers have less work so they seem to go around the town pretending finding the address so the meter runs and runs and the price go higher. The usual price to the hostel if they go straight is about 15 BGN. So keep an eye on the meter and tell the driver he is not right.

Located Near

Around the corner there is a nice tea house, a bakery and vegetarian restaurant and Bulgarian pottery and craft shops. There is a new cinema next door for an alternative productions. They have a coffee shop too. We're two minutes away from the main walking street. The area is very central and at the same time quiet.
