Name
Sorrento is well-connected to Naples and, just from airport, buses go to Sorrento every hour.

From Capodichino, you can catch the Alibus, the bus taking both to Naples Central Station, where there is the Circumvesuviana going to Sorrento coast, and to Piazza Municipio Harbour Station, to catch the Sea Metro.

To reach Sorrento by train, you need to catch, at Naples Central Station, the Circumvesuviana going to Sorrento coast cities. The Circumvesuviana brings to all Sorrento Peninsula towns and it takes about an hour with a 4 Euros ticket.

For those who reach Sorrento by car, the reference exit to take is Castellammare di Stabia, from which you can reach the Peninsula, driving on the Panoramica SS 145.
If you arrive from North, after having crossed the A2 Milan-Naples, you have to take the A3 Naples-Salerno and lead to Castellammare di Stabia. If you come from South, you need to drive on Reggio Calabria-Salerno in the direction of Naples, till Castellammare di Stabia exit. From Panoramica SS 145, you can admire the whole coast of the beautiful Peninsula and Sorrento is reachable within an hour, following the indications located in each village: Meta, Piano di Sorrento and Sant'Agnello

To reach the Coast by sea, the Sea Metro was instituted as a set of maritime fast lines connecting Naples to the main ports of Sorrento Coast. As an alternative, at the Sea Metro you will find the Partenope maritime lines, hydrofoils leaving from Naples Beverello Pier and taking to Sorrento Port in only 20 minutes.

Located Near

From Sorrento you can easily reach places historically interesting as Pompeii and Herculaneum excavations, Mount Vesuvius, Naples Archaeological Museum, Paestum and the beauties of the Gulf of Naples such as the isles of Capri, Ischia and the pearls of Amalfi Coast as Positano, Amalfi and Ravello.
