About Blue Parrot

Blue Parrot is a popular youth hostel/backpacker conveniently and centrally located on Macleay Street in cosmopolitan Potts Point; one of the trendiest parts of inner Sydney.
We are 5 minutes' walk from Kings Cross Station (with connections to the city and Bondi) and 15 minutes walk from the city centre. Our area enjoys a vibrant nightlife with plenty of bars, clubs, shops, restaurants and other local amenities.
We are a family-run property and offer private and dormitory accommodation. Lockers are available, and padlocks can be purchased at reception. Linen is provided free of charge.
Facilities include a courtyard garden, a cosy lounge room with a fireplace and a flat screen television, a kitchen and free internet & wi-fi access. We also offer an airport shuttle service.
Hostel policies: Reception: 09:00-20:30 Please let us know in advance if you are arriving after 20:30. Last check-in: 23:00 Check-out: 10:00
A valid passport is required on check-in.
We accept credit cards (Visa and MasterCard) for payments of $300 or more.
Cancellations must be received at least 48 hours in advance or a charge of one night's accommodation will apply.

Blue Parrot without a doubt is the reason I will be returning to Sydney as soon as I can. They have a well-oiled team of staff members there that never cease to go out of their way to make your experiences as incredible as possible. As any spoiled traveler, I assumed that the smaller/cheaper hostels would end up being somewhat of a "shit hole", but I found the exact opposite. They clean the rooms/bathrooms constantly, everyone works hard to clean up after themselves, and the rooms are actuall Tali, from USA ~ 18th Dec 2009
