Elephant Backpacker is located at the heart of Sydney, just a few minutes' walk from the harbour and the city centre.We have private rooms and dormitories equipped with lockers, fans and heaters. This property has specific Terms & Conditions.Check-in: from 1pm.We have a 48hr cancellation policy. Late cancellations and no-shows shall be charged the equivalent of the first night's accommodation. Exception: during the New Year's period, no refunds will be given.During the New Year's period from 27 December 2012 to 4 January 2013 there are special booking conditions. During this period there is a minimum stay of 7 nights. All bookings made for the New Year period will have their credit cards charged 1 month prior to arrival ie 27th or 28th November 2012. If funds are not available and your payment is declined we will release your bed. Please note that no refunds will be given during the New Year 2012 period. We strongly recommend you take out travel insurance.

From the Domestic/International airport:Catch a shuttle bus that will bring you right to the hostel or the train from the airport to St James station and we are just 5 minutes walking from there. From Central Bus/Train Station:The nearest train station is St James Station. It is only 2 stops from Central Station. From here walk down towards the domain park (the Cathedral on your right) and we are at 50 Sir John Young Crescent, opposite the domain car park.

We are located in Woolloomooloo (just next to all city attractions) on the corner of Sir John Young Crescent and Crown street. We are minutes walk to the City centre, Opera House, Sydney Harbour, Botanic Gardens, the night life of Kings Cross and Oxford St, Hyde Park and all public transport.
