Hostel Casa Kankuamu

Inspired by the Kankuamo tribe from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta (the highest mountains close to the sea in the world), the guardians of the mountain, our hostel have an atmosphere of ecological care in the fishermen´s town of Taganga, Colombia in the caribbean with shared and private rooms.
We have 5 different rooms, three of them shared and two of them private with their own bathroom, all of the with air conditioning system. It is a hostel but we give better service and accomodations. There is wifi internet connection all over the place at the highest bandwith availabe in town (4MB). There is complementary water and coffe for all guests. We have a patio with hamacas and a minipool to get fresh on the hot days. There is a TV room to share with others and we are building our own library. |

This property has specific Terms & Conditions.The reception is open from 7 AM to 9 PM in a regular basis, but we can make some exceptions if is needed. There are no age restrictions.

Air
From the airport:
-A taxi will cost you COP30,000 pesos (COP35,000 pesos at night), aprox.USD20 at day and USD25 at nicght.
- If you want to take the bus, the first bus will take you as far as 'carrera 5ª' in the centre of Santa Marta and take a second bus to Taganga. Buses run every 10 minutes from 6:00 am until 9:00 pm.
From the bus terminal in Santa Marta:
A taxi will cost you betweenCOP 8,000 - 10,000 pesos.
Always establish a price before you get in to avoid any misunderstanding later!
Once you are in Taganga, go to the main church and move forward two blocks, then turn left until the end, five blocks, there is a Disco Bar called Murano, then turn left again two blocks passing the Estrella groceries shop in the middle. There you will find at the right side, Casa Kankuamu Hostel.
Located Near
The town of Taganga is very close to the city of Santa Marta in the colombian caribbean, it was a fishermen�s only town for decades, but now nightlife, outdoor sports, diving and multicultural activities has become the standard for tourist here. Our property is three blocks away from the main beach of the town, were you can find a lot of restaurants and bars, and also the ships that can transport you at a variety of beaches of the Tairona national park.
