Banana is a whole new, cozy, and home-like small hostel located in the central of Taipei. We have diffirent room type, big common room, clean bathroom, and everything contained kitchen. You can stay here with reasonable price. Hope you'll enjoy this vibrant city and lovely BANANA!
In Banana, we offer all travelers 1 twins room, 1 double room, and 1 dorm room with 6 beds, and all of the rooms are cozy, clean, full-decorated and with comfortable soft mattress. We provide free breakfast and wifi. Don't worry about not having a laptop traveling with you, we provide a public computer that you won't miss any important email and also you can contact your friends in every corner of the world telling them you are just staying in such as an amazing place in Taipei. By the way, don’t waste your time and energy to wash your clothes by hand, just go outside looking around the wonderful city you stay. We provide washing machine for the travelers for free with free washing powder. As our name, we also provide fresh bananas everyday and home-made banana cake in every weekend. If you are a bananaholic, we believe Banana Hostel is just the best choice you make. |

This property has specific Terms & Conditions.Banana is a restful place to welcome all travelers around the world. However, for all of the residents and neighbors’ rights, we refuse alcoholic and children under 12. Meanwhile, we don’t accept to have a party in Banana and any visitors.
Because everything is so new and fresh for Banana, we decided to accept female only in Aug. 2012, and see how it will go. We'll accept all traveler's booking beginning in September, hope you can stay in Banana for a while when you visit Taipei.

If you'll arrive from Taoyuan International Airport, you could take a taxi directly to Banana Hostel, it cost about TWD.1000-1300, but it's cheaper to take the buses. It's about 40 minute to take a bus from the airport to Taipei Main Station, then transfer to bus 22 in front of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi, there will be only 4 stops to Xinyi Hangzhou intersection, where is very near by Banana.
By Taxi
If coming from the airport directly by taxi, be sure to first call us from the airport to tell us when to expect you.
Most taxi drivers do not speak English, so be certain to have a printout of the Chinese address and directions with you. The trip should cost about 1300 Taiwan dollars (US $40), compared to the NT $150 (US $5) the bus costs, detailed below.

By bus
You can buy bus tickets before boarding at ticket counters, which are located in the Arrival Passenger Reception Areas of both Terminals of the airport. There you can also find free travel info and maps. The attendants speak English and can help you buy a bus ticket for either Taipei Main Station, which costs about 130 Taiwan dollars (US $4.5).
If you take the bus to Taipei Main Station, you will see a very tall building which is Shin Kong Mitsukoshi just opposite to Taipei Main Station, and you can take the bus 22 in front of it.
When you get on the bus you just insert coin to the box next to the driver, a ride cost NT $15 (US $0.5). There will be only 4 stops to Xinyi Hangzhou intersection where is very near by Banana.
From Xinyi Hangzhou intersection to Banana
When you arrive Xinyi Hangzhou intersection, you will see Chiang-Kai-Shek Memorial Hall in the right-back side, and starbucks is at the other corner. Cross the road and head to starbucks, walk down Xinyi Rd. about 3 minutes, you will see Banana is No. 23 in your left side.
Note: We apologize in advance for not having a huge sign outside. Hotels have a lot more influence on the business regulations for lodgings, and they wrote them so that hostels aren't allowed to advertise themselves very openly. Other hostels in Taipei are also low-key and don't have signs either. Sorry!
**To all of the people who want to visit us, there is no 24 hr reception in Banana, therefore, please inform us up to 3 hours before arrival.
Located Near
We are located in the central of Taipei city and just next to the MRT and bus station. The most famous restaurant Din-Tai-Fung, Yunkang St., Chiang-Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, Daan park are all in walking distance. You also can arrive every tourist attractions in Taipei (such as Xi-Men-Ding and Taiper 101) in 30 mins from our door.
