This includes offering you delicious pancakes for breakfast and free laundry service.Although we are located in the 700 year old former residence of the Teutonic Knights, who ruled Tallinn in the 13th century, the hostel is freshly renovated with a large common area, clean bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and an awesome balcony with BBQ grill. Your bed will be ready made with towel included and our staff will be at all times on hand to give you maps and advice on where to eat, drink, party, get around the city and tips for saving money. |

DIRECTIONS TO KNIGHT HOUSEKnight House is located between the Freedom Square (Vabaduse Viljak) and the Town Hall Square. Whether you come by bus, ferry, train or plane: public transport will stop at he big Freedom Square and from here and then it will be only a 4 minute walk to the hostel.Once you arrive by any means of transport, cross the Vabaduse Viljak and walk into Harju street. At the first intersection turn to the left and you are already in Riitli street. Follow the road around the corner and very soon you will see our big while house (with the sign 'Knight') on your left side.HOW TO REACH VABADUSE ViLJAKFrom the Central Bus station: You need to take a tram No. 4 (direction Tondi) until the tram stop 'Vabaduse viljak', or take a bus No. 17, 17a or 23 to the bus stop 'Vabaduse viljak'. From the Harbour and Train station:You need to take a tram No. 1 or 2 (direction Tondi, ilemiste or Kadriorg) to tram stop 'Hobujaama', and take a tram No. 3 or 4 from there (direction Tondi) and ride to the 'Vabaduse viljak' tram stop'. From the Airport:Bus 90K departs from right outside the arrival hall. Ride to the ' Vabaduse Viljak' stop.Alternatively, you can take bus No. 2 and get off at the bus stop 'A.Laikmaa' in the city center. From there take a short walk to the tram stop 'Hobujaama' and take a tram No. 3 or 4 (direction Tondi) to the 'Vabaduse viljak' tram stop.Coming by taxi:Taxis that you find on the street tend to overcharge. Try to negotiate a price with them and try not to pay more than 10 euros. If you can, it's much more reliable and cheaper to order a taxi on +372 638 0000 to pick you up (pay attention to the car number that they tell you) and expect to pay 5-10 Euro, depending on traffic and whether you are coming from the harbor, bus station or airport. Coming by car:There is a paid car park right across the street from our hostel.
Located Near
The building is the former residence of the Knights of the Livonian Order who ruled Tallinn in the 13th Century, also known as the Teutonic Brothers of the Sword. In the next door building is the former mint and medieval prison for Tallinn. We are directly beneath the Danish Garden, where legend has it the Danish Flag first fell to earth. This all right in the heart of the Old Town, but still on a quiet street where you will able to have a good night sleep: a better location you will not find.
