DIRECTIONS TO THE MONK'S BUNKThe Monk's Bunk is facing the Freedom Square (Vabaduse Valjak), the biggest square in the Old Town. Whether you come by bus, ferry, train or plane: public transport will stop here and then it will be only a 2 minute walk to the hostel.Once you arrive at the Vabaduse Valjak you simply walk to the big intersection with the Swedbank on the corner. Walk into the street behind the Swedbank: this is already Tatari street. Note that there are 2 houses that are called 'Tatari 1': we are the 2nd one, with the 'Vesipiip' bar on street level. You will see a 'Saku' beer sign hanging at our door. The reception is on the top floor. HOW TO REACH VABADUSE VALJAKFrom the Central Bus station: You need to take a tram No. 4 (direction Tondi) until the tram stop 'Vabaduse valjak', or take a bus No. 17, 17a or 23 to the bus stop 'Vabaduse valjak'. From here you walk a little bit back to the Swedbank right on the corner of the big intersection. From the Harbour and Train station:You need to take a tram No. 1 or 2 (direction Tondi or Kadriorg) to tram stop 'Hobujaama', and take a tram No. 3 or 4 from there (direction Tondi) and ride to the 'Vabaduse valjak' tram stop'. From here you walk a little bit back to the Swedbank right on the corner of the big intersection. From the Airport:Bus 90K departs from right outside the arrival hall. Ride to the ' Vabaduse Valjak' stop. From here you walk a little bit back to the Swedbank right on the corner of the big intersection.Alternatively, you can take bus No. 2 and get off at the bus stop 'A.Laikmaa' in the city center. From there take a short walk to the tram stop 'Hobujaama' and take a tram No. 3 or 4 (direction Tondi) to the 'Vabaduse valjak' tram stop.Coming by taxi:Taxis that you find on the street tend to overcharge. Try to negotiate a price with them and try not to pay more than 10 euros. If you can, it's much more reliable and cheaper to order a taxi on +372 638 0000 to pick you up (pay attention to the car number that they tell you) and expect to pay 5-10 Euro, depending on traffic and whether you are coming from the harbor, bus station or airport. Coming by car:There is a Europark car park right in our backyard, which you enter from Estonia Pst. Parking there costs 8 per day. However, if you drive on Estonia Pst. one house further, there is another Europark which costs only 4,80 per day.
