Our romantic finca-villa is situated in the center of the ancient part of La Orotava, and our huge garden is an oasis of quietness between fruit-trees, roses, and vegetables, and a free ocean-sight right in the middle of the town! It's a relaxing place for sunbathing, writing, composing, meditation or yoga-exercises, but also groovy barbecues or unplugged music-sessions.
Our house an ideal starting-point for mountain-bikers, hiking- and climbing-tours: the 'Canadas de Teide' are only 12 Kilometers away, and Mount Teide about 43 Kilometers.

From our house it's three minutes to go shopping, 10min walk to the bus station, 10 min ride to the sandy beaches of Puerto de La Cruz, 20 minutes by bus or car to visit the University of La Laguna. Since 2012 La Orotava has also an own private University.

You reach La Orotava by bus in 80 min from the Airport-South (Nr.343 heading for Puerto de la Cruz - please change the bus at Airport North to reach La Orotava direct) and in 20 min from the Northern airport (Nr. 107 or 108). From the bus-station you go towards 'Lycee de Tauro' and from there straight ahead, passing by la Plaza de la Constitucion, you will reach a little street called Calle San Augustin which leads directly into 'Calle Leon'. Here you turn left and go uphill and after 300m you'll find our house on the right side of the street, Calle Leon 34.
If you rented a car on Airport South (Reina Sofia), you'll follow the highway North (directed to Santa Cruz), and take the exit directed to La Laguna. There (on the circle) you'll turn left in direction Aeropuerto Norte/Puerto de la Cruz. After about 26 Kilometers take the exit La Orotava/El Teide, cross the highway and drive right heading for La Orotava. Then follow the main-road, pass princesa Dacil-monument, pass Disa-Gas-oil-station until a street-crossing: the second one is (still) the main-road, then pass the centro esportivo and policia nacional, until you'll come to a circle. Here you'll take the second street (Calle Blanco, San Anton/Los Realejos) to the right, until you'll pass a little church (San Juan) on the right side. After that church turn right in the Calle San Juan, go downwards, and turn the third street (El Cantillo) to the right. Near the end of the street you can look for a parking-place, 'cause our house is nearby. At the end of the street turn left into the Calle Leon, go down 20 meters, and ring beside the green postbox of Number 34.

Located Near

La Orotava is famous for its traditional houses (casa balcones), Canarian food, artists, folk-music and fiestas (flower-carpets). The life-style here is „South-American-like“, because most of the hotels are down on the beach in Puerto de la Cruz, and tourists come only for short visits. There are lots of delicious restaurants and cafes, a concert-hall (Theobaldo Power) with classical concerts, and a funky Youth-Club (Quilombo) with salsa-, rock-, and blues live-concerts on weekends.
