Tobermory Youth Hostel
Tobermory Youth Hostel is one of the many brightly painted buildings on the famous harbour front in Tobermory (it’s the pink one!).
Tobermory is an ideal holiday location for wildlife watchers, hill walkers, seafood enthusiasts and families looking for the setting of the TV show ‘Balamory’. It’s a good base for exploring other areas of the island, whether on bike or on foot.
Mull offers many things to enjoy, including coastal and woodland walking, scuba diving and pony trekking. From here you can visit the island of Iona, spiritual and historic heart of Scotland, or take a trip to Staffa to see this geologically amazing island which inspired Mendelssohn to write 'Fingal's Cave' overture.
The youth hostel is on the main street in the centre of town, surrounded by shops, restaurants, art galleries and beside the busy harbour with boats coming in and out all day. As well as a seafront location (many rooms have sea views) the youth hostel has a small enclosed garden at the back with a picnic table - ideal for morning coffee or lunch.
