Khaosan Tokyo Original provides tourists with a safe and affordable accommodation options in the heart of charming Asakusa. Surrounded by traditional Japanese buildings like Sensouji Temple and the Kaminarimon, we offer warm hospitality, good service and the opportunity to meet like-minded travelers from around the world.

We are located just one minute away from Asakusa Station with the following destinations easily reached by subway:

Ueno (5 minutes), Akihabara (8 minutes), Tsukiji Fish Market (15 minutes), Imperial Palace (20 minutes), Shibuya / Shinjyu / Roppongi and Harajuku (30 minutes).

Narita Airport is 75 minutes on the Keisei Line and Haneda Airport is 45 minutes on the Keikyu Line.

Khaosan Tokyo Original provides private and dormitory accommodation.
As a backpacker hostel, all bathroom facilities are on a shared basis.
All of dormitory beds are bunk beds.

Hostel policies:
* Remaining balance must be paid in cash upon arrival.
* All guests will be asked for security reasons to present their passports for photocopying upon arrival.
*No children under 10 years old
*Reception open 08:00 - 21:00.
*Luggage storage is available before check-in (after 08:00) and after check-out (until 19:00). Our guest house closes at 21:00.
*Please call us to confirm your arrival time or to let us know if you are supposed to be late check-in.

This property has a 1 day cancellation policy. Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.

Business Hours: 08:00 - 21:00.
Check-in: 15:00 - 21:00.
Check-out: 08:00 - 11:00.
Arrangements can be made for early check-out and late check-in. Informing us in advance is preferable.
We adhere to the check-in times in order to accommodate our housekeeping service from 11:00 - 15:00.
Free Luggage Storage: 08:00 - 19:00.

We have a 24hr cancellation policy. Cancellations made less than 1 day before the accommodation date shall be charged for 50% of their total booking. Cancellations made on the scheduled day of arrival shall be charged for 100% of their total booking. Based on our reception business hour, 08:00 ~ 21:00 in Japan Standard Time.
If we could not confirm your arrival by 24:00 (midnight), we consider the guest as a no-show and we will cancel the booking. Please note that we charge 100% for the first night and 50% for the second night in this case.

The 10% deposit for any booking is non-refundable and non-replaceable in case of cancellation and booking arrangement.

If you would like to change your booking date, please inform us your amendment details via email. ( in your earliest convenience is preferable - at least two days before). Because of the fact that we basically arrange your booking in accordance with our cancellation policy. Our contact information will be in your booking confirmation email.

Payment is due upon arrival by cash only please. We only accept Japanese Yen. We do not accept credit or debit cards so please make sure to have Yen cash before getting here.

We do not permit guests under the age of 10.

We are backpackers' hostel and all our facilities are a shared basis. All the beds in our hostel are bunk beds.

We accept a maximum of eight people in a group.

*NO SHOW If we could not confirm your arrival by 1:00 at night,
we consider the guest as NO SHOW CASE and we cancel the booking.
Please note that we charge 100% for the first 2 nights and 50% for the third
night in that case.
