Experience of Kagurazaka
Kagurazaka is known as a ‘hanamachi,’ a word the Japanese use for old entertainment districts where geisha were commonly found.
Kagurazaka was built around the outer moat of Edo castle during the Edo period. Kagurazaka was where the elite would come when they wanted to leave the castle and have fun. There were also many samurai residences here.
