Home Backpackers is an affordable youth hostel located at the heart of Valencia in lively El Carmen district. We provide a nice accommodation with cozy dormitories full of light and facilities including a lounge area, a fully equipped kitchen and bar. You will always find here fun and friendly atmosphere! We organise daily tours, activities, pubcrawl and as well offer discount vouchers for local restaurants and bars.

IMPORTANT NOTE :
In order to respect the local law we are not allowed to accept reservations of minors who are not accompanied by an adult.
Cancellations of nights or guests has to be done 24 hours in advanced only by email. As check-in time is at 14 hours the cancellations has to be done until 12:00 hrs the day before the date you want to modify, except for bookings for Fallas, Formula 1, Tomatina, MOTO GP and New Years Eve.
For No Show we charge the amount of the first night only, except for bookings for Fallas, Formula 1, Tomatina, Moto GP and New Years Eve, that we will charge the full amount of the reservation.

Tomatina 2016
ATTENTION: GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR RESERVATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS We use special booking and cancellations conditions for the Tomatina period: from August 29th until September 1st 2016. Limited spaces available! After making the reservation, you will receive a link to make the payment in a very easy and safe way. We don't accept other payment methods. The reservation will not be confirmed until the payment is accepted on this period. Cancellations policy: you can cancel the reservation without costs until August 1st 2016. Cancellations after this date have to pay 100% of the costs. Once the reservation is made, you cannot change or cancel the names of the persons in the reservation. At the arrival we will ask you to pay a deposit for the towels and the keys. The deposit will be returned at the departure, only if the towels and keys are handed in complete and without damage.
Prices are per person per night.

Cancellation Policy

This property has a 1 day cancellation policy. Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.

In case of no show or out of date cancellation, the price of the first night will be charged. If you do not cancel reservation before 12.00 the previous day, you will be charged equal to the first night of your stay, unless other conditions specified above (check the "things to note").

Respecting the local laws, people under the age of 18 who are not accompanied by adults or do not have the authorization of father, mother or tutor are not permitted to make reservations. Will be required the valid document (identity card or passport) to register your stay at hostel.

Children under 18 are only allowed to accommodate if they are accompanied by a responsible adult. No child can stay in shared rooms with adults if they are not a part of its group or are a part of the family.

A deposit of 5€ will be asked for the key and 6€ for the towel, from which 1€ will be charged for the laundry service. At the departure the 10 € will be returned if the towel and key are returned intact.

At arrival payment can be made by the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Visa Electron, JCB, Aura, Diners, Debit Cards.

The prices given include taxes.

Special payment and cancellation conditions are applied during special events like Easter, Moto GP, Fallas, Tomatina and others.

Hostel imposes other conditions of modification and cancellation policies for reservations for more than 9 beds. The 30% should be paid upon reservation (plus hostelworld deposit), the rest one month before arrival.

From the Airport:
The best way to get to the hostel from Valencia Airport is taking the underground, either line Green (#5) or Red (#3). One way ticekt E 2.90. As far as the Nord Train Station (Estacin del Nord in Valencian) which is the stop called Xativa. From here, you can follow the directions below how to get to the hostel from the Nord Train Station. Nevertheless, the underground is open from 05.30 to 23.30. If you get to the airport later, catch
a taxi to the hostel which will last 15 minutes and cost aproximately from 20 to 25 euros.

From the train station Valencia Nord:
From the main entrance (where the big clock is), cross the big road and straight up towards the Council Square (Plaza del Ayuntamiento) . When you get to the end of the square, the street splits into two. Turn to the left and go straight forward on Calle de Mara Cristina. Continue past the Mercat Central building on your left and the Lonja building on the right hand side. Follow this and you will see in one corner the business VIA PIZZA, turn right on Calle Bolsera, go up as far as a small square called Plaza del Tossal. At the crossroads, you will meet Carrer San Miguel, go through this small street, turn left on the square and you will be able to see the big sign of Home Backpackers.

From the train station Joaquin Sorolla:
nonetheless, if you train stops at Joaqun Sorolla Station (Estacin de Joaqun Sorolla), take the free shuttle (free with your train ticket ) outside the main exit that takes you to the North Train Station and follow the directions given above.
Outside at the main exit you turn left and you go to the street Calle San Vicente Martir. There you take the bus number 27 until Mercat San Ferrer. When you go off the bus you see the Central market and you will be at the square Plaza Mercado Central. Go straight ahead and turn right into Calle Bolseria. Keep going until you reach a square called Tossal. Just walk straight on and enter a street called San Miguel. On the left you will get to a square where you will see a church. Home Backpackers entrance is at the same building as the church is.

From the Bus Station:
From the main entrance, cross the big road, turn to the left and follow the course of the Turia River (Ro Turia), now become a delightful and pleasant park. Take the first bridge on the right called Puente de las Artes, cross across it and keep going down through Calle Guillem de Castro. Then take the third street left ( Calle Beltrn Bigorra) and go up as far as the end then you will see Home Backpackers.

From the Port:
Once outside the port, go straight towards Calle Doctor J. Domine (5 minutes walk) and catch bus N19 (One way ticket 1.30). After 14 stops get off at the last stop Xtiva - Marqus de Sotelo. From here walk few minutes until the Council Square (Plaza del Ayuntamiento). Cross the square and once you get to the end the street splits into two. Turn to the left and go straight forward on Calle de Mara Cristina. Continue past the Mercat Central building on your left and the Lonja building on the right hand side.
