We are a small, family-run hostel located in the very centre of Warsaw. Within a walking distance you will find the Old Town, Palace of Culture, Nowy Swiat Street, Museum of Chopin, Centre of Contemporary Art, National Museum, Copernicus Science Centre, National Stadium and a lot more.

Hostel Helvetia is situated in a quiet Sewerynow Street, but you will find the beating heart of Warsaw night-life with clubs, bars, cafes and theaters right behind the corner.

The owners are travellers themselves. Both born in Warsaw, Gosia is a writer and Piotr is a photographer. When you enter the hostel, you will be immediately taken to their trips through the picks, words or stories hidden within the walls.

You can choose to stay in a dorm, in a private room with shared bathroom or in a private room en-suite.

Are you a traveling family? We invite you to stay in our family room, where you will find plenty of space to stretch your legs after a long journey.

If you choose to stay in a dormitory, spacious lockers are for your disposal – just to make sure that all souvenirs and personal belongings are well-secured. Once you unpacked your things and have a while to look around, you will discover that a socket and a night lamp are assigned to every bed. Free Wi-Fi is provided. You can also benefit from the free luggage storage, safe, cheap laundry facilities and bicycle rental.

A shared kitchen in our common room is waiting for those, who like to cook and…to eat! There are induction cookers, pots, plates and spatulas ready to use. It is also here, where we serve free breakfast for all our guests, but if you prefer to stay indoors for the whole day, please, do make use of our books, big TV with DVD player and Play Station 2, which you will find in the common room.

The front desk staff is at your disposal 24 hours a day. They are all Varsovian students speaking Polish, English, Russian and a little bit of French and German. They are waiting for you to help you to find the greatest places in Warsaw, the tastiest pierogi ever, to share all their knowledge and passion of Warsaw. All born and bread in Warsaw, young and soaked with busy life of our city.

What you can expect to find:
-Free Breakfast,
-Creatively designed rooms, no room is the same,
-Free WI-FI in every room,
-Cheap internet for those who left their laptops home,
-24 hour reception that gives honest insider information,
-Good atmosphere and friendly faces.

Dear Friends, if you are looking for loud parties, ikea style, or hotel experience – we honestly admit – other places will suit you better.

For those, who search for a little bit of Hotel comfort, B&B atmosphere and hostel budget - Helvetia Plus - our second part of the hostel.

See you in Warsaw!

FROM THE CHOPIN AIRPORT

Take 175 bus to UNIWERSYTET 02

When you get off the bus, turn around and go towards the Monument of Copernicus. Before you reach it, turn left by KFC and go down Oboźna St. Turn right at the the third tiny junction into a quiet Sewerynow St. Walk down it. After several steps you will see Hostel Helvetia's sign on your right (it's about 500 meters in total). You will reach Hostel Helvetia part, where reception is located.

FROM THE CENTRAL RAILWAY STATION

Take 175 bus (the bus stop is next to the Marriott Hotel). For details see above.

FROM ZACHODNI RAILWAY/BUS STATION

Take 158 bus to the Central Railway Station
Then follow the directions from above.

Couple of tips:
The best way to buy a ticket is to find a ticket machine.
You can also buy it at newsagents', usually situated near the bus stops. Ask for a single fare ticket (bilet jednorazowy), which entitles to a journey on one vehicle. Don't forget to validate it on a bus.
Do not take 'no-name' taxis that haven't got the word 'Taxi' in their logo. Take only these ones which have also the name of a company, for example:
Elle Taxi (+48 22 811 11 11),
Korpo Taxi (+48 22 561 91 00)
Sawa Taxi (+48 22 644 44 44)
If you arrive by car, you can park it in the street in front of the Hostel. Pay in the parking meters from Monday untill Friday between 8am and 6pm (around 3 PLN/hour)
The nearest guarded parking is located behind our building (in front of The 'Polski' Theatre) – 98 PLN/day
