Every morning we serve a free Polish breakfast: cheese, ham, rolls, toasts, butter, jam, muesli & cornflakes, milk, coffee and tea. WELCOME ON BOARD We are located right next to the famous Royal Route's core - the Krakowskie Przedmiescie street. The Warsaw University and a vibe atmosphere of a student area are just outside our doorstep. Within a walking distance you will find every significant monument of our beautiful city. You can easily get to The Old Town, The Palace of Culture, Nowy Swiat Street, Museum of Chopin, The Centre of Contemporary Art, the National Museum and Copernicus Science Centre just by walking less than 15 minutes. Hostel Helvetia is situated in a quiet Sewerynow Street but you will find the beating heart of Warsaw busy night-life with all sort of clubs, bars, cafes and theatres within 600 meters from our place. You won't have to take a cab or wonder around to find your way back after Saturday clubbing. The 175 bus stop is located a 5-minute-walk away from our entrance. You can take 175 line to get to the Central Railway Station (10 minutes) or to the F. Chopin�s Airport (45 minutes). CAPTAIN The hostel's owners are Gosia & Piotr - hardcore backpackers and travellers, who went all over the world and found out what is the essence of hostelling. Piotr is also a bike addict so if you are cycling round Europe you will find at Helvetia a kindred spirit. Every single picture at the hostel is one of the images of the owners' trips. CREW All born and bread in Warsaw, young and soaked with busy life of our city. They speak English and a couple of other foreign languages. They will answer all of your questions, help you find everything you might need and make you feel welcome like you never felt before. SECURITY ANNOUNCEMENT The reception is open 24 hours (no curfew, no lockout ) We have lockers in every dorm and a free safe too. Free luggage storage. ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAM We've got a lot going on for our Guests. In summer every weekday is full of surprises, fun and having a great time. FROM THE CHOPIN AIRPORT
Monday - Friday
Take 175 bus to UNIWERSYTET 02 stop.
When you leave a bus, turn back and go towards the Monument of Copernicus. Before you get it, turn left by KFC and go down Oboźna St. Turn right at the the third tiny junction into a quiet Sewerynow Street. Walk down it. After several steps you will see Hostel Helvetia's sign on your right (it's about 500 meters).
FROM THE CENTRAL RAILWAY STATION
Monday - Friday
Take 175 bus (the stop is next to the Marriott Hotel). For details see above.
Take 128 bus to NOWY ŚWIAT 53 stop
Take a bus from the stop next to the Marriott Hotel. When you get off the bus, walk down and turn left on the first pedestrian crossing (without traffic lights). Then turn right and cross Kopernika Str. Turn left and then immediately turn right into Bartoszewicza Street. After 30 meters take the first left - Sewerynow Street. You should see the Hostel Helvetia's sign on your left soon.
Take 444 bus to NOWY ŚWIAT 53 stop
Take a bus from the stop situated on the level of the main hall, next to the Złote Tarasy shopping centre. When you get off the bus, walk down and turn left on the first pedestrian crossing (without traffic lights). Then turn right and cross Kopernika Str. Turn left and then immediately turn right into Bartoszewicza Street. After 30 meters take the first left - Sewerynow Street. You should see the Hostel Helvetia's sign on your left soon.
CAUTION!
Please notice that during the weekends the lines: 175 and 128 change their routes.
To reach the Hostel you have to get off on the POWSTAŃC�W WARSZAWY 02 bus stop.

Then turn right and cross Kopernika Str. Turn left and then immediately turn right into Bartoszewicza Street. After 30 meters take the first left - Sewerynow Street. You should see the Hostel Helvetia's sign on your left soon.
Couple of tips:
The best way to buy a ticket is to find a ticket machine. You can also buy it at newsagents', usually situated near to the bus stops.
Ask for a single fare ticket (bilet jednorazowy), which entitles to a journey on one vehicle. Don't forget to validate it on a bus.
Do not take 'no-name' taxis that have only word 'Taxi' in their logo to avoid being cheated.
Take only these ones which have also the name of a company, for example:
Ele Taxi (+48 22 811 11 11),
Korpo Taxi (+48 22 561 91 00)
Sawa Taxi (+48 22 644 44 44) and so on....
If you arrive by car, you can park it in the street in the front of the Hostel. Pay in the parking meters from Monday till Friday between 8am and 6pm (3 PLN/hour)
