From New York by bus:
We recommend you Google 'Chinatown Bus' to get the best bus tickets. About five companies have the lowest rates from NY at about $20 one-way. The journey should take around four hours and 20 minutes, depending on traffic. The drop-off locations are right here in Chinatown, less than 10 minutes’ walk from us. Please note that the Greyhound bus station is some distance from Chinatown and we do not recommend it.
From the drop-off point: Get off at 7th and H St. NW. Walk north up a slight hill on 7th St. After two blocks, turn right onto NY Ave, then take your first left onto 6th St. NW. Walk for another minute and we’re at 1110 6th St. NW – it’s a building with fire escape. There’s no sign on the building because this is a historical district and signs aren’t allowed.
From Ronald Regan National Airport (DCA):
From the east side of the platform, take the yellow line of the metro into the city and get off at 'Mount Vernon Square 7th St. Convention Center', then follow directions as below.
From Dulles International Airport (IAD):
A taxi will cost $60 but it’s much cheaper to take a Metro City Bus for $6 from the red, white and blue sign where the buses stop. You’ll find the stop a good walk to the right when you exit the terminal. Get off the bus at the last stop - L’Enfant Plaza. Then follow directions below.
From L’Enfant Plaza:
A taxi will cost a maximum of $9 (meter reading) plus $1.50 per large bag and $1.50 for each additional person.
Alternately, take the metro to 'Mount Vernon Square 7th st. Convention Center', then follow directions as below.
From Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI):
Your best option is to take the Marc Train for $5-$7 to Union Station DC. However, this line doesn’t run on Saturdays or Sundays.
Alternately, you can take the Amtrak train to Union Station for $20-$25.
Or you could take city bus number B30 to Greenbelt Station. The first bus leaves the airport at 6am and the last one departs at 10.50pm. The journey takes just over half an hour. Then from Greenbelt Metro Station, take the green line metro in the direction of Branch Ave and get off at 'Mount Vernon Square 7th St. Convention Center', then follow directions as below. Total cost is $5.45.
A taxi from BWI would cost around $60 to $75.
From Union Station:
Take the red line metro to Gallery place and change to the Yellow or Green line. Go one stop to 'Mount Vernon Square 7th St. Convention Center' and then follow directions as below.
From Mount Vernon Square 7th St. Convention Center metro station:
Take escalator to the exit. On reaching the street, cross the street toward Subway restaurant. Keep going in that direction on M Street, passing a large church on the left side of the street. At the corner, turn right onto 6 St. Go down the hill to near the end, where you’ll see us at 1110 in a townhouse with a fire escape. There are no signs because this is a historical district.
