From our quirky cafe which is at the heart of The Bivouac, this offers a playroom to keep the smaller ones amused, a log burner for a cosy afternoon after a hard days walking or just somewhere to sit and relax . We offer regular events throughout the year from Community Meals, Story Corner, Inspirational Speakers, along with a host of outdoor activities. Music nights are a regular feature in the cafe, check out our events calendar. The barn houses twelve bunk beds and each one has its own bedside lamp, lockable storage box and bed linen. There is a sink, kettle, drinks preparation area and cold store. Whether you want to book the whole room out for a large party or just a bed for the night this centrally heated barn is ideal for guests who are looking for flexible and communal accommodation. Please note that advance booking is required if you would like to book a meal for a group in the café or if you would like us to provide you with a meal out of café hours. Please note: Check-in from 15:00 - 18.30, if you intend to arrive after 6.30pm please contact us directly (There may be a late check in charge) Check- out by 10:00 Cancellation policy is 3 days in advance We accept payment by cash & credit card. |

Once you reach Masham (A6108):
Keep going until you reach the outskirts of Masham and follow the road round up the hill and past the Wensleydale Garage.
Take a left toward the village of Fearby (Fearby Road) and pass through the village.
Take the first left just before the primary school.
Travel along that road until you reach a T-Junction and turn right up the hill.
Follow that road round and when you come to a big sign with Bivouac on it turn right.
Drive up the hill and take your first left along a drive that leads to our car park.
Located Near
We are located in one of the Yorkshire Dales finest areas. Here at Bivouac we have a picturesque spot on the Swinton Estate which is one of the most beautiful settings in the Yorkshire Dales. The 20,000 acre Swinton Estate stretches from the River Ure and charming market town of Masham in Wensleydale up to the moorland dales and the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
