The Drunken Monkey Hostel
We are the only hostel in Zadar owned and run by fellow travellers. Set in a charming part of town only 15 minutes walk along the water front to the old city gates. \'Why should I stay outside the old town?\' Well, quite simply, we offer what the other hostels do not. We have a decked garden, complete with sun loungers & splash pool, bar, and a sun terrace.
Our friendly staff can also help guide you towards your own unique Croatian experience. With the Adriatic coastline at our doorstep, we offer you a perfect balance of relaxation, adventure and entertainment.
The Drunken Monkey is a clean, new, comfortable and secure hostel, located in the safe neighborhood of Arbanasi. Ideally situated minutes away from the main bus station, and the scenic Kolovare promenade; nothing Zadar has to offer is out of arm\'s reach.

During our season in Dalmatia, especially festival time, most Croatian hostels usually have a young vibrant crowd, who produce fun and noise for which we try to maintain the best we can. Our reviews tell you we are normally pretty good at this. But you must be of the understanding, that this is part of Drunken Monkey Hostel life in and around our operating months.
Our reception is open during the hours of 8.30 am - 10.30 pm. Arrival outside of these times requires an e mail directly to the hostel through our webpage. Please contact us for more information.
Guest reminder: We are not a hotel and we do not offer red carpet service, however big hearts and smiles are here in abundance. Please, If you have never stayed in a hostel, do your research so you know what to expect.
We are not in the Old Town!!. We are 20 minute walk away in a glorious part of Zadar . The hostel is extremely close to the bus station and the waterfront.

We are located in Arbanasi just a short walk to the old city. Cabs can be arranged for very cheap ( about 3 - 4 Euro) if you don't feel like walking to the old city. Although we are not right in the heart of the city, we are a few minutes walk to the sea and nice seafront walk that takes about 15 minutes to get to the entrance to the old city. We are also a 5 minute walk from the bus station.
