Zagreb - Croatian capital city is often called the city of museums, as there are more of them per square meter than any other place in the world, which does not mean there is nothing else for you to do.
Zagreb is famous for its green areas. You will find charming parks in the city center and for those of you who are park lovers there is the Maksimir park, one of the biggest city parks in Eastern Europe. Recreation during the day, bars and clubs during the night - you will find this on the Jarun lake in the west part of Zagreb. Zagreb is also the only Capital city in the world hosting a ski worldcup race, taking place every January on the surrounding Medvednica mountain. Many people were surprised with the beauty and quite charm of Zagreb. It should be your time as well to discover Zagreb.

The overnight price DOES NOT include tourist tax. Tourist tax per person per night is 1,00 EURO Children under 12 do not pay the tourist tax, people between 12 and 29 pay 50% of the tourist tax price. School groups do not have to pay the tourist tax by providing the school-trip approval.

Located Near

HI Hostel Zagreb is located in the center of Zagreb, just a few minutes walk from the Ban J. Jelacic Square, the biggest and main city square. South of the hostel is the Main Train Station that you can also reach in less then five minutes on foot. The famous stretch of Zagreb squares and parks also known as the 'Lenucci's Horseshoe' is only one block away from the hostel. The Zagreb Cathedral and the charming old town (The Upper Town) is some ten minutes away. On Jelacic square you can take the trams to easily reach the biggest Zagreb park - Maksimir (take tram No. 11 or 12, direction east). The huge sports and recreation center on the lake Jarun where you can enjoy the Zagreb nightlife in many clubs and bars located on the shores of the lake is reached by trams No. 17 and 5 (direction west). If you enjoy visiting museums and galleries you can easily reach them by foot.
