Catch a dala dala (local bus from Darajani in Stone Townto Matemwe. costs about 2000 Tshillings and takes 1.5 hours.
Get off at the School in Matemwe and walk south with the sea on your LHS for about 15 minutes (or call for a lift) - you can't get lost!
Alternatively, take a taxi: costs about $40 and takes 45 minutes.
We can arrange for a taxi to pick you up at the Zanzibar airport, or the port, if you are arriving by boat.
Right on the beach, on the southern edge of the fishing village of Matemwe. We are right opposite Mnemba Atol, excellent for diving and snorkelling. Kite surfing just down the beach.
We can arrange village tours, to meet the seaweed farmers, the artisans, the school and other local people, followed by a traditional Swahili meal.
Or if you prefer to just chill out, why not be pampered and enjoy a traditional Zanzibar massage or have a Henna tattoo
