This hostel is great!! Located right in the centre of Beijing, close to restaurants, shops, hutongs, Tiananmen, Forbidden city, everything.. Everything is very very clean. The bar is so lovely! The athmosphere is so good! And the food and drinks are very nice! The only thing is that the beds were quite stiff, but that's almost everywhere in China.. My wife and I stayed at the hostel for 4 nights at the beginning of our trip to China and decided to come back for two more night at the end of the trip. We took a deluxe private room with shower (so I don't know about the rest of the rooms) and enjoyed it very much. The hostel was clean, located very well and the staff is very helpful. Booked this hostel based on reviews, and after staying in hotels for all of my time in China, I decided to try a hostel. As it was the Autumn holiday all the private rooms were booked so I ended up in the dorm. This is a long room on the top of the building with one fairly grimy bathroom. All the windows were either bolted or locked or obstructed, this would not pass a fire inspection, but hey this is China.Staff are professional but I had a terrible nights sleep due to drunks and a/c noise. Great location to the metro station and T Square and the Forbidden City.Though a bit difficult to initially find.Taxis unable to drop you off at the front door secondary to being on a pedistrian road. The place overall is very nice and I would stay again, however a few improvements required 1-the air conditioning system was very noisy at night when it was cycli g on and off we got woken up a few times by it. 2-the bed was not very steady, I was on the upper level and everyhing I climbed up it moves. 3-the shower had no hooks for dried clothes, it would be a great help if there is room in the shower for dried clothes. No wifi in the bedrooms, no sockets next to the beds, and the rooms next to the door on the ground floor are noisy when you need to sleep the first night after a long stressful flight during which you have not slept. The next days are fine since you spend the evenings in the bar. No wifi is annoying in the sense that it is sometimes hard to skype from the bar as there's noise. Overall it is a great hostel.
