Great experience. We signed up for four dorm rooms and were put into a nice apartment instead (with kitchen, bathroom, living room, etc.). Location in Riomaggiore was nice, room was clean. Only sketchy part was their baggage holding area is in a room with a brown door right off the street near their main office. They don't lock it or check who's going in or out. If you're not leaving your bag, though, the security within our apartment was fine - we could lock our main door and our individua Andrew, from USA ~ 4th Oct 2009

Tiny place with 11 beds squished into every corner - we were charged for a 6 bed dorm and ended up with 12 people, including one guy who was told to sleep on the tiny couch. Not recommended. Kelli, from USA ~ 19th Oct 2009

Horrible! The room is tiny, the street has a terrible smell, this place has no facilities what so ever - no internet, no breakfast, no staff to help you - nothing! The first sentence the lady said to us when we arrived, after "hello" was: "you pay me now". It was before we even saw the room! The staff has an office somewhere in the village and they really don't care about you at all. All they want is to get their money. They didn't even write our personal details! NOT RECOMMENDED

Hostel was good, but too crammed. It was in a prime location, but we never saw the staff. It was a fun environment with cool people. But no matter where you stay, you'll love Cinque Terre. It's amazing. Giovanni, from Canada ~ 31st Aug 2009

Although hostels are supposed to provide "More fun and more interaction at a lower cost", the 3 of us found this hostel was quite expensive (40 euros per person and no breakfast service) compared to other accomodations that we found once we arrived there - would not recommend to other travellers-would tell them to look for alternative accomodations as we saw others doing. Some came without pre-booking and still got a better price than us. Except for price, otherwise great! Patricia, from Canada ~ 11th Aug 2009

This was a gret place right on the water, and Cinqueterre was beautiful! The only problem was that there was no one at the office before 10 to help you check out, but otherwise I really enjoyed staying here! Katie, from USA ~ 7th Aug 2009

It was a pretty nice place to stay. When you go to check in, don't walk all the way up the hill, it is only half way up :) The actual place we stayed was really close to the train station, it was a great location. Hannah, from USA ~ 7th Aug 2009

Location is not ideal by any means, hundreds of steps. I would recommend Vernazza over Riomagg... Richard, from USA ~ 6th Aug 2009

Place was in a great location, right next to the train station and near the harbor. Jason, from USA ~ 6th Aug 2009

Situated right at the top of a building,382 steps in all, no concessions given to the fact that we had two 14 yr olds with us. Great views, but what a slog! Booked 5 nights and cost around 700 euros, not cheap at all especially as the 4 of us were in one room, we had to share a bathroom and ask for sheets and towels to be changed. This is hotel prices as far as I'm concerned but with none of the comfort.Once there we found places with 2 rooms, balcony and kitchen for the same price. brendan, from Ireland ~ 29th Jul 2009
