We enjoyed our stay at Alpha Hostel so much that we stayed another night there when we passed through Salvador a second time. We had a well kept private room and bathroom. Kitchen is great for cooking in and there are nice common areas for hanging out. Wifi was a huge bonus, as was the staff. We definitely recommend Alpha Hostel! Laura, from USA ~ 19th Nov 2009

i enjoyed the hostel.. i little bit tricky to find, but it is well located. i just don't like the actual street it is located... very dodgy... gotta be carefull when arriving with backpacks... not a very good area... but it is indeed well located to access Barra beach and bars nearby. liked the BRL$ 60 deal for a twin bedroom with private bathroom, very good compared to other hostels...
