Alpha Hostel - Salvador A Pucon, Brasilie

I suffered a theft with a gun at 50 meters from de hostel. The staff didnt call the police. The area is quite ugly and dirty. The street of the hostel has people who sleeps there. The internet was not free. That`s difficult to understand because other cheaper places give the service free. The first day the shower broke and my room was full of water. The staff didn't speak english, or spanish. Just portuguese. The worst experience in a hostel of my life. Emiliano, from Argentina ~ 25th Jan 2012

We had pleasant days at this hostel. The staff was friendly and helpful and we got a double room with a nice private bathroom. We really liked the placed and recommend it. It is in Barra, 3 minutes walk to the beach and next to some shops and restaurants. Buses to Perolinho (center of the Salvador) take 15 to 25 minutes. Lisa, from Germany ~ 27th Aug 2011
