Amsterdam-Inn in Amsterdam, Netherlands

The place was really good located. It was less than a 5 min. walk to the centrum, but was still quiet at night. It was not a hostel in the way, that I view hostels due to previous travels in Asia and South America, so you didn't met or had fun with other people living there, but for me it was perfect, since I went to Amsterdam with my girlfriend and preferred the privacy. The room was really cosy and a good place to relax after a day out in the city. Some people mentioned the stairs in Jacob Ettrup, from Denmark ~ 26th Aug 2009

The hostel is well located (downtown, 5 minutes from the station) and the staff is pretty nice and available ; however the bedroom in which we stayed was pretty small and not really luxurious (holes in the wall, low ceiling, broken furnitures, no space at all like in a rabbit hole) but it was clean ; and the bathroom was really small without air extraction (so it was wet all the time) and it was not perfectly clean. The location of the hostel was really good. Only some minutes to the central station and to the city. The cleaniness was not really good, but we did not except more for that cheap price. The first thought that came into our mind when we arrived to Amsterdam-inn was : 'oh my god, what the hell is this?'. A piece of advice: if you're to stay in this Inn, travel light: you might be placed on the third floor, there's no lift and the stairs are the steepest sight of the whole Holland! We were assigned a triple bedroom that was actually a kitchen. In the morning can get busy in the shower (for those who are not in ensuites). The best thing is the location: Hammermerstraat is a lively Raul, from Spain ~ 15th Feb 2009
