great staff; movies at night are fun. great pool. Kitchen is good, but 3 out of the four stove lighters was empty. some free breakfast food, bread, jam, peanut butter and coffee/tea. overall great place to stay Lawrence, from USA ~ 28th Oct 2009

I suppose there's not much choice in Alice, but this place certainly didn't stand out as a "must stay." It's not close very close to the Todd Mall (the only tourist spot in the city), and I was told emphatically not to walk around the area at night. Here is our comment. We are a couple and were traveling with the OZ experience. we arrived from Adelaide. that ment getting up every morning very early. our first day we had a balloon flight on our schedule and we though oke we can sleep in the next day. but first we had to ask the previous night if they could turn down the music in the courtyard because it was so loud(there is a bar open till late at the hostel) and in the moring they start at 07.30 with very loud classical music. i asked them

It is disappointing that you had such a poor stay. You appeared to be enjoying yourselves. Visiting the bar each night. Having dinner for five dollars. Drinking Bacardi and Coke. The same bar you would possibly prefer not be there. 46% is the hostels worst review but the question is if it was truly that bad why did you stay four nights.

This is possibly the friendliest backpackers I've ever stayed in. Free pick up from the airport, nice pub within the place, meals for 5 bucks, tv on the room, movies on big screen every night, nice pool and very friendly staff.
