the room was frozen at night. ppl were getting in every hour waking up the others. the air in the room wasn't good, the walls and the bathroom were damp. needs repainting with special paint no-mold. vanessa, from Italy ~ 19th Nov 2011

One of the best hostels I been to. Location is perfect, the only minus of it is the noise comming from night traffic in the street. The staff is friendly and smiling, Breakfasts are great. Felt safe and secure. Just loved the place. Thank you Revyakina, from Russia ~ 15th Jul 2011

We have been to a lot of hostels in Ireland and Ashfield was by far the worst. Actually cleanliness and security was good and the location is really good, but the staff were really unfriendly. Due to their behaviour we had the impression, that they don't care about their guests at all, which is one of the worst things in a hostel. Perfect location (about 5 minutes walk from temple bar, but out of most of the noise), free earplugs if you have loud neighbors, actually substantial breakfast, and good staff. One of the best I have stayed in for a while. Paul, from USA ~ 1st Apr 2011
