This hostel is your typical HI hostel. Not much character, but it was clean and big. Not really any people my age there. (20's) Just school groups. Its not near a train stop, but once you figure out the bus, it is pretty easy to get to the train and to the heart of Berlin in only 20 or 25 minutes.

functional yha. travellers sharing the same room were considerate ie of similar social level. i would have appreciated a fridge and a chance to make a cup of tea of coffee somewhere.

Not the closest location but the buses and metro are quite easy to use. very clean and comfortable beds.

This hostel kept records on paper and lost the record that I had paid them already. If I had not had my receipt they would have made me pay again. They alos did not do enough to keep noise doen in the rooms - allowing people to come in at 3 and 4 am repeatedly.

The people were nice and would always help out with finding things around the city and the location was great -only about a ten minute walk from Potsdamer Platz. But the bathroom in our dorm room was pretty gross. Some of the pipes and taps leaked and the shower head was broken off the wall. The floor got dirty very quickly because the taps constantly dribbled water onto it. The breakfast was good, usual youth hostel fare but nice. The games rooms, lounges and dinning area were well done.

apart from the hostel being dominated by schoolkids running round shouting and screaming then this is an awesome hostel!
