The doors that access the floor are BANGING so hard that it wake me up every time someone accessed the floor. I had to put paper on the door so that it won't bang for the night. This was the unpleasant thing but everything else was perfect. It is quiet, superclean and the staff is helpful. I really lke my stay at the hostel but please do something about the doors, it is really annoying.

We had a group of 4 people so we booked a 4 bed dorm. Some mix up happened so we ended up being upgraded which was great, however the staff were really not helpful and a lot of other mix-ups seemed to be happening too. Make sure you double check your booking before you arrive!

All the staff was acting as if this is the first working day of the hotel ever. Nobody knew a single thing, couldn't answer any question asked, my checking in took like an hour, there was even a problem with the reservations. I'm not satisfied at all with my staying and I am definitely not recommending the place to any of my friends.

I really would like to add a few comments objectively:
POSITIVES: First off, I was impressed. The place was nice - it felt like a hotel, the doorman greets you and opens the door, the staff was friendly, the showers were AWESOME (with the exception of the slow drain) the location was good and accessible to anywhere. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here. A very good chill vibe going on.
As for any complaints - Not any really the slow drain in the shower was minor...the rooms were clean

This hostel is located in a safe and up & coming part of Harlem in a historic 6 floor brownstone. It is a new, clean, and modernly decorated place with friendly staff, key cards for each room, and video survellience of the entry. It also has a patio and roof terrace. Air conditioning could have worked better and not the best water pressure in the showers, but perhaps those are temporary issues.

First they gave us a terrible room. The floor was broken and painting falling off the walls. We changed it, but then we had mice in our new room.

The kitchen is too small and there is nothing to use in it, except the fridge. In all it is too expensive compared to what you get...
