Business Hotel Chuo New Annex in Osaka, Japan

The room was big and nice. There were fresh towels and even a package with tooth brush/tooth paste in the room. We loved the hot japanese bath and foot massage machine after the long day walking around! We also enjoyed the very cheap breakfast we could buy there and the staff was very friendly. It was everything you needed. clean. friendly staff. good value for money. The bed was very comfortable although near the station so before midnight and after 6am there was noise from the train. I slept very well despite the noise. If you are a light sleeper maybe its not for you. The area is ok - next to a JR station which is good and only 2 stops from the Namba area. This place is excellent if you like showering next to the entrance reception which is provided for the whole hotel. The place is filty and of an 80s decor (tired and worn) We visited in April and the Christmas tree was still present in the main area!.....on the flip side the location is excellent and the staff are very friendly. We stayed there for one night, but it was enjoyable stay. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Room spacious and comfortable. And bath was really nice. If we go again to Osaka we will go there again :) There was also discount in the Family Mart shop ;p Jaroslaw, from Poland ~ 20th Apr 2009

The directions from the receipt were not very useful, but the staff were very helpful when we called. In our separate rooms, some of us had beds, some tatami/futon and each room had a very individual smell (not always pleasant). The bathing times were very limited for women. The neighborhood is the 'working' district, however there are a number of people who appear to be homeless wandering around. Overall, it was pretty good for the price. Perfect hotel if you're on a budget and intend on spending your entire day outdoors exploring Osaka. Your room is literally a room with a bed in it, and little space for anything else. The surroundings aren't very appealing at first, but you'll be surprised how much is around after exploring a little. And the big shopping malls are only about a 10 min walk away. The hotel staff are VERY friendly. The place is very clean. There's internet PCs you can use for free too. Very much worth Gautam, from Australia ~ 1st Mar 2009
