A very nice and well run hostel, but when we went there was absolutely no vitality in the place. Heads down in laptops and people staying in their room. May just have been the crowd in off season? Michael, from Australia ~ 11th Jan 2012

My friend and I are from Seattle, WA.We both didn't spend Christmas with our families this past year and decided to visit Vancouver for the Christmas weekend instead.So, we booked a private double at the C&N Backpackers Hostel and enjoyed every minute of it.It's in a good location, not too far from downtown, close to Chinatown, and has access to the light rail.I've stayed at lots of hostels before - more than I can count! - and I highly recommend C&N Backpackers in Vancouver, BC. A great value.An average room with only 3 other people to share with is only $21, whereas most other places in Vancouver will be $10-15 more.Some of the bunk beds are squeaky, but I can't think of anything else to complain about. Peter, from USA ~ 20th Aug 2011
