The staff is especially kind. Unfortunately, when I was there, San Blas lost it's water for one day...Otherwise, it's better to have a room at the back of Casa de la Gringa I for more quiet and be warned the very hot showers are too hot! It's burn or freeze! Also, the Annex is freezing, but the bed are good and have at least 4 blankets each!

The rooms vary a lot, the first few nights we spent here we had a beautiful loft bedroom, but on our return we were given a room in a separate building with no window which was quite noisy.
Like the rest of South America, hot water is sporadic at best, which is fine...but don´t pretend that you do have good hot water!!
Location is excellent, San Blas is the place to be in Cuzco!
I would stay here again, but I would want a loft bedroom!

Probably the worst place we have stayed in Peru. You have to sleep with the windows closed, otherwise the stinky cat sleeps with you next to your head.
Secondly its very noisy. Everybody wakes up at 4 am to catch the train to Machu Picchu.
Needless to say we only stayed one night of the 5 that we have booked through hostelbookers..and the lady at reception couldn't understand that we already payed a portion of the money for the night on hostelbookers, so we had to pay the (over priced) f

Casa de la gringa had a great feel to it. The people staying at the hostel were some of the friendliest I have met while traveling. The staff is well intentioned but was slightly disorganized. One two occasions they had trouble locating my reservation. Luckily there was room at the hostel to accommodate me but it could have turned into a bad situation. Double check everything!

everyone was very friendly and helpful, from helping us to organise a wonderful horse ride and 2 days in Macchu Picchu to cooking great eggs for breakfast. when we went to M.P Christian left his dearly beloved zippo in a common area and was sure it was gone, but on our return it was exactly where he left it! surprise and joy! we felt it spoke volumes about the standards, security and other guests at the hostel!thankyou Casa De la Gringa for making our stay in the very touristy Cusco a little mo

En la casa de La Gringa son todos muy amables. Tienen la mejor dosposicion para ayudarte en todo lo que necesites, incluso te guardan las maletas cuando andas en algun tour fuera de la ciudad.
Notable es la sala de Internet y de television.
