The staff was polite and stayed late (until 9) when my flight was delayed. The area is close to the museums by foot or bus. The rooms are fair and it was kept moderately clean. Doors are secured with pass codes but they did not seem sturdy. There is only one bathroom which is fine during slow season but could be congested when the rooms are all full. My advice is to click the back button, and find another hostel to stay at in DC. This place sucks And for a place that makes you take your shoes off, you'd expect it to be much cleaner, which it isn't. Things were broken, construction on many things were half finished everywhere. The toilet was broken for who knows how long, a $5 part would fix the problem, but its pretty clear the owners do not care.
