I wanted to stay in the hotel for Heimtextil fair. I couldn't enjoy any day in the hotel, because after to do the reservation and payed it, I received a short email telling me that my reservation had been cancelated because the hotel was full.I phoned to the hotel and the staff person told me that they had some free rooms. I didn't understand nothing.So I couldn't go to hotel and I received my money 15 days after some phone calls and some emails. You can't find a more convenient location than that of this hostel. Although the facilities probably aren't as competitive as elsewhere, for someone like me who's priority during travel is convenience, it is a worthwhile hostel. The rooms are kept clean with fresh towels everyday. One huge disappointment was the lack of Wi-fi. Wi-fi is only found in reception area with poor connection. The hostel was in a great location.Some people in our group were freaked out by the red light district being so close, but it really want's a big deal.The beds were comfortable and the wifi was free, which was a change from other hostels I've stayed at.Overall it was a decent experience, however the bathrooms could have been cleaner. Common area being the kitchen and reception as well was very cozy. Always a warm atmosphere with helpful staff and eclectic music being played. Location of Frankfurt hostel COULD NOT BE BETTER! It's across the street from the main station. And one would think that would affect the price but the hostel is priced the same as the other hostels in the city. Breakast is served! Nice hearty breakfast. This has been lacking at most of the hostels I've stayed at in Europe, not here. Walk away happy Christopher, from USA ~ 28th Oct 2011

it didnt have lockers, except for rented ones staff wasnt very friendly, they seemed angry, and one of them had a serious confrontation with two guys that didnt seem to be guests and they allowed people to smoke in the balconies, which led to us smoke inside... :( laura, from Argentina ~ 27th Oct 2011

you get what you pay for here. its an old building but not too bad. heard about a few issues with items getting stolen out of the luggage room. so best to hire a locker for any valuables. they offer a great free simple breakfast and had a free pasta night. rooms are cleaned everyday and the hostel is in a great location right in front of central station. wifi was down for a couple days but starbucks is across the way. staff were quite helpful. nicole, from Australia ~ 5th Oct 2011
