Great hostel, would definitely recommend it! Staff is very helpful, the whole place is very clean. Big common room with comfortable sofas and the rooms (the 4 bed dorm at least) are spacious enough with lockers. Its not in the old town but very close, Zsuzsa, from Hungary ~ 1st Sep 2011

This indeed is a clean and secure hostel (no one gets inside unless let in by the staff, plus you need to take your shoes off as you come in). It has a unique character (feels like a distant relative's old house, only refurbished). If peace and quiet is what you're after, go for the GIDIC. michal, from Poland ~ 31st Aug 2011

Very nice location from airport and bus station, not ferry terminal or train station. Facility is very old but it's ok to stay. All staffs are awesome, I mean every time they are ready to be willing to help customer. JAE IL, from South Korea ~ 28th Jul 2011

GIDIC is undoubtedly one of the most upbeat hostel I've lived, a solitary wooden building situated in a square close to central Tallinn, colorfully painted interior with all film flyers, and informative and pleasant reception(ists).Talllin becomes unexpectedly beautiful with its serenity, mildness, and of course, the stay in GIDIC. Yet the twin room is bit toooo hot needs ventilation, and the room has only one socket, inconvenient to recharge the mobile when using the electronic fan.

Lovely hostel. Very friendly owners and nice atmosphere, despite that it looks a bit dodgy from the outside (old wooden building). Kitchen is quite small but nice lounge and dining area, with dvds and satellite tv. Good wifi. Rooms are adjoined so people may need to walk through one room to get to the next, but everyone was pretty quiet. Strict policy of not bringing home random scores from the pub which is great for the rest of us! Michelle, from New Zealand ~ 17th Jun 2011

This is one of the best hostels i stayed in Europe. Extremely nice and considerate staff! Location is good, right in the middle between bus station and old town. clean and all facilities work well. Very good laptops for use with good internet connection. A huge TV in common room with comfortable sofa and quite some new movies, you can just spent whole night watching movie feeling like at home. kitchen is a bit small in case a lot of people are staying but it is ok since it seems everyone st Bo, from China ~ 1st Jul 2011
