Great Hostel, friendly staff and owners. Nice and clean. Not much to complain about really, although I think it did say foxtel in all rooms but it was just in the main living area. Theres daytona games in the lounge room too. Danielle, from Australia ~ 4th Oct 2011

I had a great stay at the Globetrotter. The staff is really helpfull and Brian recommanded great tours to me. The hostel is slightly out of the city center but it is only a nice 15-minute walk: everybody can do that. Plus it is quiet so you get to sleep well. But it lacks social gathering like game night or a BBQ sunday, etc. you don't meet other travellers well. yet I made good friends there. and I will book again if i go back to Cairns. Great hostel, with security gate to get in.A little out the way but no real problem.Free dinner voucher for pub 15 minute walk - The Woolshed. Avoid booking Venus Whitsunday trip, or anything not in Cairns - wait until you get there, as it will be cheaper, they'll know more about it, and you'll have more choice.
