Gothic Point Hostel in Barcelona, Spain

Top hostel, each bed has an individual wooden "cucoon" which makes the area extremely private without losing the hostel feel. It's fun, secure and very friendly. Location is brilliant, really close to a metro stop. An excellent hostel! Fraser, from Scotland ~ 4th Oct 2009

The gothic point was an alright hostel. It's got some character to it but the bedding was terrible. It was extremely cramped and hot. The common room was nice and the terrace was very chill as well. It's a pretty good place to go if you want to meet some new people but if you like your space when sleeping, steer clear of this one. Eryc, from Canada ~ 5th Sep 2009

very clean, private beds with excellent storage facilities. breakfast was nice and the communal dining area was comfortable and clean. great location, and nice decor; my only qualm was the less than friendly staff. overall - fantastic, and worth the slightly expensive price. Great kitchen. Loved the free wifi. People were not super social but the free sangria and great tapa tour were nice. Lovely air conditioned rooms were great as well. Few to many steps for those drunk nights but great hostel. Would love to come back. Cameron, from USA ~ 13th Jul 2009

I didn't know what to expect. This was first trip to Europe and my first time in a hostel. Compared to my hostel in Barcelona this one was outstanding. The hostel was actually really nice, especially the rooms where you have your own little cubby bunk bed with curtains around it. The security was great however we got pickpocketed right outside the hostel...it gets really sketchy in that area at night. Brittany, from USA ~ 7th Jun 2009
