We booked this hostel for the first two nights of our trip not knowing what it would be like. After arriving in Cancun and checking out the other hostels we decided to continue our stay with Haina. They had the best rates, were definitely the cleanest (by far!), and were very welcoming. There weren't really any activities at the hostel but it was right downtown and we had plenty to do in the neighbourhood. The staff were great and even taught me a bit of Spanish. Specifically they taught me Arlene, from Canada ~ 24th Sep 2009

Your basic hostel. Close to the taco stands and the bus station. Free water. Shower is ok. Breakfast is juice, bread and jam. Dina, from USA ~ 14th Aug 2009

Very nice staff, decent private room with bath, okay clean but a little grungy. Continental breakfast, plus use of kitchen. Pay for internet. Not a lot of charm, but, hey, it's Cancun, what can one get for this price in Cancun? I was only there from 2:30am until 11am so cannot give review of "fun" or interaction of guests. I felt that I was being cheatted with the pictures that your website shows. When I got there to the Hostal, I could not believe the place- dirty, the reception area quite bad, the small room call lobby a disaster. I had made reservations for 2 nights ended up not staying even one night. The room that I was assigned had so much humidity, it smell, and the sheets and towels gray color. Very dirty place. I was changed to another room, but I decided to leave the Hostal to another Hotel. Did no cynthia, from USA ~ 9th Jan 2009
